The Black Kirin
The Black Kirin syndicate was a rival of the Red Dragons a decade ago. Both syndicates were battling for the place of 'top syndicate' and the Kirin was in position to not only take control of a large areas of Mars, but topple the Dragons in the process. Then the ISSP conducted one of the most successful raids in history, second only to the recent destruction of the Red Dragons, and crippled the Kirin for years. The syndicate's power has slowly been growing and now with the destruction of the Dragons, they are once again in the position to take control of the planet's underground black market.
But the syndicate hasn't forgotten what the ISSP did or who was involved in their take down...
[Planets]
Venus
Venus is the second planet from the sun and one of the planets that is now inhabitable by humans. Man terraformed the planet’s surface and placed oxygen-producing plants on floating surfaces in the atmosphere to create a breathable atmosphere. The plants produce spores that affect a small percentage of the population, infecting them with “Venus sickness”, a condition that causes blindness. Treatment for Venus sickness is extremely expensive and the cure is very rare.
Earth
A desolate place, Earth is the home only to those who cannot afford to leave. Broken pieces of the moon fall to the Earth, striking the planet and changing the terrain daily. The planet is hardly considered habitable, although many people still live there.
Mars
On Mars, many of the craters were terraformed into cities. Tharsis City, the former headquarters of the Red Dragon syndicate, was the largest. Other cities on Mars include Elysium, Valles Marineris, and Ophir. These cities are divided socio-economically. Most people fall into the categories of rich or poor, with a large number of the poor falling into crime to support themselves. The syndicates rule the streets and the black-market runs deep. Those on Mars who can afford to look the other way usually do.
Ganymede
One of the most successful terraforming experiments, Ganymede was turned into a moon of water. The moon is surrounded by water with small islands of land inhabited by people. The planet’s main source of income comes from fishing. One particular delicacy from Ganymede is the “Sea Rat”.
Callisto
Callisto was another terraforming experience gone awry. The result was a cold and barren place where the wind always blows and the ground is always covered in snow. As a result, the only humans who live there are thieves and criminals wishing to stay out of the hands of bounty hunters.
